How To Save YouTube Videos?

YouTube it could be one of your most preferred online hangout, but it really takes on your nerves when comes to eating your bandwidth. YouTube is not recommended for those who run on very little or limited internet connection. We just have a tip for those who prefer to save the youtube videos once and forever so that you see the videos even if you are offline or you no longer have to spend bandwidth for the same video clip.


We do have certain prerequisite for the procedure, you should be have a Mozilla Firefox running on Windows XP platform. And you are ready to save your favorite videos.
How To Save YouTube Videos?

Step1. Start Firefox and play the video that is to be saved on YouTube

Step2. Once the video is fully played, close Firefox.

Step3. Locate “C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\axt1o4j5.default\Cache” (where C: is where the Windows XP is installed and UserName is the name of the user profile, change it accordingly).

Step4. Now you are at Cache Folder here just right click on the free space selected Arrange By Icons and click Size.

Step5. Now the files in the Cache folder is arranged according to size of the files.

Step6. The last set of files are the files with maximum size and these could be your youtube files.

Step7. Rename the last file that is the file with the highest size, with flv extension (abc is renamed to abc.flv)

Step8. Play the renamed flv file in an FLV Player Arrange By Icons(Click Here to download)

NOTE:If the last file is not the youtube video try the last set of four cache files in the cache folder.

Step9. Enjoy the video.
